In just under one month, my wife Taylor Fink and her friend Hallie Holland will be traveling to Crested Butte, Colorado to race in the classic backcountry contest, the Grand Traverse. This 40-mile ski through the dark from Crested Butte to Aspen is a big undertaking in its own right, but these girls have taken on more.

Taylor and Hallie have entered the Grand Traverse as a charity team to benefit the Winter Wildlands Alliance. They’re gathering support for this amazing organization using their blood, sweat, and frozen tears. This post comes to you today to ask that your contribute to their effort.
The Winter Wildlands Alliance is a nonprofit dedicated to protecting the wild spaces that we use as backountry skiers, riders, sledders, and climbers. Your contribution will go towards the defense of public lands, winter ecosystems and wild places. All proceeds will go to the Winter Wildlands Alliance and help support their conservation and outreach efforts. Your donation will also include a membership to WWA, making you a part of this movement and earning you a sweet “keep winter wild” trucker hat in the process.
All donations matter, even tiny ones.
